Boles Appointed by House Speaker to Energy Council

June 30th, 2021

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma House Speaker Charles McCall, R-Atoka, has named Rep. Brad Boles, R-Marlow, as a member to the Energy Council.

The Energy Council is an international non-partisan legislative organization founded in 1975 to promote a balanced national energy strategy and related environmental policies. The Council also endeavors to promote an understanding of energy and its role in the global economy and to give legislative policymakers a chance to learn more about energy issues of importance to their states, citizens, environment and revenue base.

“I am very humbled and honored to have been selected by Speaker McCall to serve on the Energy Council,” Boles said. “Energy is a significant part of the economy of our state and nation, and is an area I have spent much of my career focused on. I’m excited to have the opportunity to serve in this capacity and look forward to learning from my colleagues on the Council.”

Boles, a Marlow native, has represented House District 51 in the Oklahoma House of Representatives since March 2018. He currently serves as Chairman of the House Energy and Natural Resources Committee.

I enjoyed the opportunity to give a legislative update at the Stephens County OK2A monthly meeting. Pictured from left to right is District Attorney Jason Hicks, Sheriff Wayne McKinney, Stephens Co. OK2A Leader Harvey Sprague, and myself.

We had an opportunity to visit with the Governor at a local event this past week. Pictured with us is our good friends from Marlow, Larry and Angela Johnson, Governor Stitt, my wife Michelle and I.
