January 12th, 2021

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma House Speaker Charles McCall, R-Atoka, has named State Rep. Brad Boles, R-Marlow, chair of the Energy and Natural Resources Committee during the 58th Legislature.

“I’m very grateful and honored for the opportunity given to me by Speaker McCall to lead on this issue as chair of the Energy and Natural Resources committee,” Boles said. “As someone who has spent most of my professional career in the energy industry, I personally understand both the contributions and challenges of Oklahoma’s energy sector.

“Energy production is vital to Oklahoma as the single largest contributor to our economy, and I’m privileged to serve in a district that is well-diversified in energy industries,” Boles continued. “I look forward to working on behalf of all Oklahomans who rely on our state’s leading industry.”

Boles, who was elected to represent District 51 in March 2018, was previously chair of the County & Municipal Government Committee in the 57th Legislature.

House leadership positions for the 58th Oklahoma Legislature were announced after the constitutional-required Organizational Day on Tuesday, Jan. 5. Session begins Monday, Feb. 1.
