Rep. Boles Appointed to Energy & Environment Committee for Council of State Governments

January 18th, 2022

Rep. Brad Boles, R-Marlow, was recently appointed to the Energy & Environment Committee for the Council of State Governments (CSG) by House Speaker Charles McCall, R-Atoka.

CSG is the nation’s largest nonpartisan organization serving all three branches of state elected and appointed officials. The Energy & Environment Committee hosts regional summits to exchange ideas for effective legislation and organizes programs to create regional strategies to address shared energy and environmental concerns. The committee is comprised of state officials from all levels of government.

Oklahoma City will host the 76th Annual CSG Southern Legislative Conference in July.

“I really appreciate Speaker McCall for appointing me to this committee and I’m excited for the opportunity to work with legislators around the country on energy and environmental policy,” Boles said. “Oklahoma’s energy industry is the single largest contributor to our state’s economy and I look forward to advocating for policies that promote and protect this industry that is so critical to the thousands of Oklahomans employed in this sector.”

Boles was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives in March 2018 and currently serves as the chair of the House Energy & Natural Resources Committee.
